Join the Youth Advisory Board and learn about international cooperation and the Nordic countries

The Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office in Lithuania is establishing the Youth Advisory Board. Here you’ll get the amazing chance to learn about international cooperation and the Nordic region. We invite young enthusiastic school students ages 14-19 from all over Lithuania to be a part of the Board! It will consist of four Members who each volunteer for one year. The Members will also be invited to apply for a second year.

Your main responsibilities as a Member of the Youth Advisory Board:

  • ADVISE. Bring a young person’s perspective into every area of our office’s work and the wide range of our partners’ activities.
  • PARTICIPATE. Work with the Advisors’ team of the office in a variety of ways including attending meetings, sharing feedback and ideas, contributing to social media, or speaking at events.
  • COMMUNICATE. Engage in creative communication with the Board. Share and spread information about the Nordic region, the Nordic Council of Ministers, The Nordic Council, the office in Lithuania and their activities.

We expect that you:

  • have a desire to improve and gain experience and knowledge.
  • are confident in using Lithuanian and English languages.
  • are interested in topics of the environment, culture, education, youth policy, and social affairs.

We are especially looking for people who have volunteering experience from the public sector or a non-governmental organisation. Taking an interest in the Nordic region is a huge plus!
